Formerly known as "St John of Kronstadt Russian Welfare Society"

The Russian Welfare Society Inc. was established in 1955 and changed its name to “RusCare Ltd” in 2014. The organisation was originally established to cater to the needs of and provide support and services to Victorians of Russian and Slavic origin. With a history of 50 years’ service, our not-for-profit organisation is supported by the Commonwealth Government through the Department of Health, the Victorian Government Department of Human Services, the Victorian Multicultural Commission, Local Government bodies, as well as Philanthropic Trusts, Corporations and individual donors.

At RusCare, we understand that continuing to live at home can help an older person or a person with a disability maintain their independence and increase their quality of life. We offer services, information, case management and resources to make all this possible.
Our team is committed to the provision of culturally and linguistically appropriate community aged care. We value cultural diversity and priority access to the program is given to people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to provide responsive and innovative services to meet the changing needs of the diverse community.

RusCare Ltd is registered as an Incorporated Association under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (No A00 11665H). Our global strategy is reviewed tri-annually and updated in Strategic Planning Seminars. The organisation also develops a five-year Business Plan to ensure the long-term viability of RusCare.

RusCare is also an Income Tax Exempt Charitable Entity and a registered Deductible Gift Recipient under the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
