“Volunteering is time willingly given for the common good and without financial gain” – Volunteering Australia 2015
Volunteering is rewarding and gives you a sense of community. It really makes you feel good knowing that you are making a difference and bringing a smile to someones face, especially to those less fortunate and older members of the community.
RusCare Ltd has a number of volunteering opportunities available across our residential aged care facility Kronstadt Gardens, our Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and through our Home Care Packages (HCP) divisions.
Volunteering roles are vast and varied, and can include something as simple as taking one our residents for a wheelchair stroll or to managing your own designated activity as part of the Lifestyle program.
A Volunteer can be anyone! You don’t need to commit to a position that involves a weekly commitment, instead consider assisting our residents monthly or even on special occasions, such as Christmas or Easter.
So I guess the questions is not “Why Volunteer?” but ‘Why Can’t You Volunteer?”
